  After her husband’s death, Raven LaCroste is celibate for two years. Then her writing group sponsors a cruise, and believing cruises are playgrounds for the sexually hopeful, she signs up.

  First night at sea, she meets Jamal Whitaker, their night ends with an acrimonious quarrel, and the next morning, Raven’s first mishap occurs. Hours later, after another accident, Raven suspects someone wants her dead. Is it Jamal, or a fellow writer with whom her relationships have been contentious?

  Raven solicits the help of new group member Anthony Corbett, an attorney experienced in law enforcement, unaware he has his own agenda for coming to her aid.
